Your initial investment in BNI is for 12 months, which represents less than a small size display ad in a major city daily newspaper. In addition, chapters collect a participation fee which covers the cost of the meeting room and a light meal.
The most important investment is your time. It will take time to get to know the other BNI members in your chapter and for them to get to know you. BNI strategies help reduce the time required to give and receive referrals more than any other organisation. Members need to be prepared to invest their time every week in developing and enhancing their commitment to word-of-mouth marketing.
The return on one's investment can be positive within the first six months if the program is worked consistently and conscientiously.
